In addition to oil and chemical products, traffic within the Port of Ravenna includes raw materials and finished goods from the ceramics area, manufactures products and building materials, minerals, foodstuff and feedstuff, fertilizers, containers and general cargo mainly consisting of timber and metallurgical products.
To date, the overall handling of goods in the Port of Ravenna has exceeded 26 million tonnes on average.
Its facilities include: about 24 km of quays - 16 km of which are operational - with a draft of up to 11.5 m, 2,800,000 m2 of warehouses, 1,400,000 m2 of yards and 1,340,000 m3 of tanks/silos and areas within the port perimeter, which measures 2,080 ha, of which over 1,500 are already urbanised or in the process of being urbanised. Dredging operations that continuously deepen and maintain the canal bed are in progress.

There are frequent long-established maritime cabotage services running between Ravenna and Sicily and recently also ferry lines operating with Greece.
The Port of Ravenna boasts not only the largest International Tourist leisure boat and yacht marina in the Adriatic but soon also it’s new Cruise Passenger Terminal at Porto Corsini.
