The port is equipped to handle all types of goods, including hazardous substances, goods at controlled temperature and project cargoes across all the areas of its functional classification, i.e.:

- Liquid bulk cargo
- Bulk goods
- Containers
- Miscellaneous goods
- RO-RO
The Port Authority
The Port of Ravenna Authority has the task of allocating, planning, coordinating, promoting and controlling port operations and other commercial and industrial activities taking place in the port.
The Port Authority also administers the State’s maritime property, carrying out maintenance of the canal bed and infrastructure funded by the State and guaranteeing the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of State property.
